Can I make changes to my booking after I reserve my date?

You can add on additional hair styling services at a later date but you cannot cancel those you have already booked. I suggest that you do not include guests in your inquiry if they have not yet confirmed. You may adjust the ‘getting ready’ time as long as the start time is after 6.30 AM.

How long do you require for hair services on the wedding day?

On average, brides require 1 hr 15 mins and bridesmaids/moms/guests require 45 mins for hairstyling. If bridal party members require hair extensions to be installed, you’ll need an extra 15 minutes per person.

Do you have a minimum booking amount?

My minimum package is the "Intimate package" (bride + 4) travel fee and applies to Friday, Saturday and Sunday bookings in May-October.

How much is the retainer amount

A $250 non-refundable and non-transferable retainer amount is required immediately after the contract is signed. This is deducted from the invoice amount.

What Hair Extensions do you recommend?

Clip-in extensions work best for bridal hair styling. I love BFB hair. I provide complementary in-person consultations for colour matching with BFB hair.

Do you bring an assistant with you?

For larger bridal parties of six or more people a second stylist is required to assist.

Do you charge travel fees?

Travel to the Distillery District is complementary. For all other locations driving time is calculated from M5A 3R3 to the getting ready location:

  • Downtown Toronto $30
  • Up to 30 mins: $55
  • Up to 45 mins: $75
  • Up to 1 hour: $100
  • Up to 1.5 hours: $170

Do you charge early start fees?

Yes. All bookings must start from 6.30 a.m. onwards. If the start time changes in the lead up to the wedding and an earlier start is required the below fees are applicable:

  • 6:00 a.m. - $100
  • 5:30 a.m. - $150
  • 5:00 a.m. - $200

What are your rates?

Minimum booking "The Intimate package" $900 applies May - April.  | Additional Guest Hair $170pp | Hair Preview $250 (all services are + HST).

Additional information about the bridal preview

Can I book a trial (bridal preview) before reserving my wedding day?

No. You may only have a bridal trial if you have booked and paid a retainer.

When should I book?

I recommend the bridal preview is performed 3 to 4 months from the wedding date for the most consistent results.

Where will the preview take place?

All previews are held in-studio located at: 783 Queen Street west at Hair by Banks.

Can I bring someone with me to my preview?

We respectively ask that the person having the preview bring only one guest.

What is the length of a preview?

Plan to spend about 2 hours at your preview.

Can I try two hairstyles at the bridal preview?

If you would like to try out two looks, please get in touch with me so we can arrange for additional time. As it takes more time, it will cost extra.

Can my mum or bridesmaids have a bridal preview too?

Bridal previews are exclusively for brides. I am not able to extend this service to other members of the bridal party.
