Boho Glam Wedding Inspiration

As I am about to set off for a few months in Australia it is only fitting that i share this sun soaked styled shoot from the beginning of spring! This Elopement Boho-Glam styled shoot was inspired by the dreamy California landscape and the free spirited Bohemian aesthetic that comes from out there.

The Scarborough bluffs provided the perfect Californian dessert setting for this shoot, with our real life husband and wife saying their i do's under a handmade teepee, enjoying delicious food from a personal chef and eloping in the cutest VW mini van this really was the most elaborate styled shoot i have been involved in! To top it off this shoot was also feature on Green wedding Shoes.

Minimalist styled shoot at Miku Restaurant Toronto

We were so thrilled to be apart of this Modern Day Factory Girl styled shoot that was recently featured on The Wedding Co blog.

Behind the I do brought together a dream team of local Toronto vendors most of whom we had not had the opportunity to work with before!  The photographer Samantha Ong did a wonderful job of capturing the balance of white space with the weight of industrial elements and geometric shapes creating a timeless and unique aesthetic.

When prepping for the shoot our inspiration was drawn from the neckline and material of the dress and geometric feel of Miku restaurant. We knew straight away the hair could not compete with such a stunning neckline and open back. We choose to keep the finish of the hair extremely clean and crisp , in line with the minimalist feel and introduce soft waves and curves to compliment the geometric elements.

Being apart of creative projects allows us to get our creative juices flowing by  practicing and playing with the principles of designs and balance ensuring the hairstyle has elements that complement the dress, venue and decor! We were extremely lucky to collaborate on several more styled shoots this year and  we can't wait to share them on the Blog in the coming months.

2015 is becoming a distant memory as we speed towards the middle of January. 2015 was our first year of business and was such an amazing experience, I had the pleasure of working with over 60 beautiful brides and their leading ladies exceeding all my expectations of what the Bridal Hair Collective was capable of achieving. It appears all of our hard work has been recognized as we were awarded WeddingWire Top Couple’s Choice for 2016 this week! This award means that based on real client reviews we have been placed into the top 5% of wedding professionals nationwide for excellence in quality, service, responsiveness and professionalism.

I would like to thank all the beautiful brides of 2015 for their love and support, and for sharing such special moments in your life. Your support is allowing us to dive into our second year of business as an award winning collective.

A big shout out has to go to all our fellow vendors it is such an honour to work with each and every one of you, seeing your passion and dedication for the bridal industry inspires me every day! So many of you have referred our services directly contributing to the growth and success of our first year in business.

Lastly this year just never would have been possible without my family and friends in Toronto and Australia who have provided relentless support and encouragement from my husband driving me all over Toronto for my 5am starts to my sister being a constant sounding board for every business move. Thank you all for being the “Collective” in and for the Bridal Hair Collective.

With love,
